Mac Boot which is out already does a wondeful job but so long as yours is fully working I would say go for it. The more options, the better I says.

24" AlumiMac 2.4ghz C2D, 4g Ram, 300g HD, 750g USBHD • 80g iPod • 160g ATV • iPhone 3g

Yeah, and include a lot of cool boot pix and instructions for making your own!

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

Please do, it seems much simpler to use than the other options.

If offered with enough boot screens I'd say yes.

There's nothing to open source, it's all standard Cocoa classes, no subclassing involved

Boot Fun's internals are now completely finished, but that still leaves the matter of what boot images I should include.

Suggestions, everybody?

Customizing the Bootx logo has been done. Why don't you release an app that lets you customize those AsyncArrows below the BootX logo. I don't like very much those "windmill" AsyncArrows, especially when I'm using a theme. Go to www.desktopper.net to learn how it can be done. Or if you want you could release an app that lets you customize both the Bootx logo and AsyncArrows...to create a complete Bootx theme. What do you think?

It would be kinda nice to release a theme-type app that changes a number of logos in the system, and next to the "theme" there should be a preview pane.
World of Warcraft (Whisperwind - Alliance) <The Eternal Spiral>
Go Dogcows!

It has been done, but none of them provide simple see and click functionality. Abou the arrows, after some research I was able to customize them on my iBook, but it would be really difficult to make an app for it. Why? The address mentioned in the article isn't even valid anymore for 10.2.2 . I had to search for the hex displayed in the screenshot so I managed to isolate the correct hex code. For all I know, the mach_kernel could even be different for other Macs

That's what betas are for. I would really love to change those arrows, if it can be done for the BootX why not for the mach? I'd gladly test it, that way we'll know if it can be easily applied to any other mac.

BTW, MacBoot is the easiest app I've seen that changes the logo and colour background, it even provides a preview and you can drag any icon to convert it into a BootX logo. Simple and effective

Looks nice but I prefer MacBoot. Very simple and have drag-and-drop ability. I love the preview feature.

Nice app. Nice interface, but maybe giving it a textured window (?).

PS - Will this be shareware like DeskShade, or freeware?

I'm not gonna make it brushed, that causes too much controversy

And it'll be freeware.
