OK I have a bit of a problem. I need both Panther and 10.2 for testing purposes. The new AluBook came installed with 10.2.7, I installed Panther on it a week ago or so.

So now I split the HD in two, a small 10.2 partition and a big Panther one. I'm running Panther now, but what is the easiest way to get 10.2 running on the small one? My retail copy of 10.2 won't install on the PB (hardware too new), and the PB only has the install DVDs with 10.2 on them.

What's the easiest way to get 10.2 running? Can I extract the system from the install DVDs?

1) insert the DVD that came with your PB
2) reboot
3) hold down the 'C' key

You should boot to the installer on the DVD.
