I was speaking to an acquaintance who's using OS 9, and he's having problems with Road Runner's help website ( http://help.rr.com ). There are two problems going on.

First, the pull-down menus where it asks you to choose your location and such: he can choose from the first menu but not the others in Internet Explorer (5.1.7). We've already done simple things like clearing the cache/history/cookies, trashing preferences, and so on. He's going to try reinstalling IE soon.

Now he also uses Netscape 7. That works for the pull-down menus, but when we try to go to live chat support we get a Java error. I told him to grab the latest version of Java for OS 9 if he can, and also the latest OS 9 updates (he's only using 9.0!).

My ultimate question is this: aside from what I've asked him to do, is there anything else that might work? It's not the most critical problem out there (99% of the Internet is fine for him), but it'd be nice to know if there were some other fix.
