Kingston RAM configuration listed RAM for Mac mini is KTA-G4333/1G.
If I bought KTA-G5400/1G, will it still work?
As this is the RAM only available in the shop.
Please help.

It will work but you'd be buying faster, more expensive RAM than your mini can make use of. The mini requires only PC2700, but the RAM you're looking at is PC3200. Take a look at the price of RAM online to ensure that you do not pay an excessive rate for the upgrade from your dealer.

Thanks!

But I wonder will other normal PC2700 or PC3200 for normal PC works too if they are also from Kingston but is not KTA-G4 or G5?

As long as it is PC2700 or PC3200, non-ecc Ram it should work. Look on Ramseeker or Pricewatch for some ok deals. Don't worry about the timing. CL3 is all you need, and it's the slowest type. As stated above PC2700 should be cheaper.

Bumping a super-old thread, but on topic:

I just upgraded the RAM in my MacBook Pro; will the PC3-10600 RAM that I took out of that machine work in place of the PC2-5300 RAM in my Mac Mini? It's just collecting dust here, so if the Mini will run with it, I'll swap it in there. But I don't want to deal with cracking the mini open if the RAM won't work.
