are you on some cheap drug?

so i guess all those old kaleidoscope themes and the gazillion windows themes with the recessed widgets made over the past years don't count!

the problem here is that this forum is populated by 14 yr olds that are really dumb.

edit: hey look recessed widgets!

Whoa. Looks like the Matrix. What OS is that? I don't think that would be possible on OS X.

BBX how goes the most eagerly awaited Mac OS X theme ever? Are you still on track for an end of Nov early Dec release?

I love hearing the progress of the project even if we don't get to see it until it's done.

This is a little off topic but I visited the South Florida Autoshow last week and got to sit in a $120,000 Mercedes.

The interior was lit up via battery pack and I immediately noticed the display cluster. It was the same "X-ray blue/grey" that BBX is going for with his theme.

Holy crap it was sweet looking!

I tried to get a picture with my digi cam to send to BB as an example of a real life display but the lightning in there screwed up the color.

Anyways, if the theme captures the essence of that instrument gauge then it's going to be fricking amazing looking.

Yea. I figured that BBX Mercury was based on few car designs. I have seen some BMW's and some sweet SVU's that looked like BBX Mercury.

However, I have a feeling that BBX OMEGA will be differnet but hey I could be wrong.

Nope - no idea what that was... there aren't any screenshots of Omega floating around yet. It looks nothing like that tho'.

To the guys chatting about the Mercedes dash lites - yes! You get the idea now... actually, a lot of my surfaces etc. are inspired by auto design... nothing like a beauty shot of a concept car to inspire technolust aplenty and get the creative juices flowing. Omega isn't really auto-inspired, more like imperial stealth technology inspired - but it's got that new car smell

oh!! i now see, i got Photoshop CS here and opened the jpg, the led colours are richer seems sharper on sRGB IEC61966-2.1 whatever happens on save, it makes the violet/blue led more kind of purplish on the site.

I dont know if im looking to hard but since opened jpg in CS the black looks shinier, its very sexy looking. Its hard to describe this but its like that car the guy talks about before, the interior rather stunning.

I really love the true colour CS displays it.

If you put it that way, I'm sure it will be worth waiting for your next update. Still too early to set a release date though I suspect.

I got suspicious when I saw that too. It would be a logical time to drop the bomb shell.

We'll have to call it Mac theme day from now on if that's when both things are out.

BBX Omega has nothing to do with swiz... even if swiz has something to do with this theme changer thing. Unless they've all been plotting this together.

To both MillHoouse and Network Shadow.. i think you misunderstood my post. I wasn't complaining about the fact that there was no Omega GUI Kit in the ShapShifter download. I had figured that if BBX was going to release Omega today it would have been in that dmg file like Max's EYLO and Swiz's GUiPod GUI Kits, that's all. I have no problem waiting, since my personal tastes are towards ligther/brighter GUI's like Swiz's GUiPod and Max's Alloy...

So do we still get to be friends?

Ya I understood, I was also hoping for it to be in the dmg also, but I do know BBX said he still has a lot of work to do on Omega so it's not that surprising.

I have heard somewhere that BBX Omega will be out 4 weeks. And William did said a small tease with the ShapeShifter theads as well.

Well....I hope I will like BBX Omega enough.

I only use Shinobi, ShapeShifter is not for me.

Omega absolutely kicks Shinobi's ass. It's incrediblly sleek, incredibly polished, incredible looking, and a deep, dark, black. I'm sure you'll like it.

It sounds like you've seen it, is this right?

I'm running Shinobi now and the thing that makes it hard to use is that text elements are black on off-black but I assume that's a pre-ShapeShifter OS X limitation...

Seriously, Omega may be the theme that gets me to purchase SS. OS' have the "killer app" while a theme changer has to have the "killer theme" that makes it all worth it.

Omega will be very usable, and requires SS for good reason. You'll love it It's definitely the killer theme.
