Is there any way to switch on anti aliasing in the notebooks in Mathematica 5?

How large are the display fonts?
I thought all apps that used quartz graphics used anti aliasing for fonts above a certain size.

The font size is above the the smoothing limit of the system software.
Mathematica = 12pt (Courier)
System smoothing all above 8pt
I think the problem is that Mathematica renders it pages internally and doesn't output the text via Quartz.

You could try to use the Silk APE module from unsanity.com

It's not anti-aliasing but you can play with display settings under format or in the preferences.

As far as I know the only way is to use Silk. I don't know why they didn't put in AA with 5; it's been fugly since at least 4.2.
