In case it's too grainy to make out, you are in fact looking at a woman getting a pedi in her two-toned pink Che Guevara tee.

The Che shirt popularity is an ironic hipster thing. These people don't really like him.

That's Che? Looks more like Little Richard from this angle.

Looks more like James Brown to me.
But yes, it's Che.

I don't think most people who buy Che-wear actually understand the irony of a Communist-inspired revolutionary being used to forward Capitalism. It's just what other people wear so it must be hot and desirable. And I agree that this angle makes it look more like James Brown than Little Richard.

You need to go a bit further than that: most people who wear these ubiquitous Che-shirts (Che t-shirt = Chee-shirt?) don’t have a clue who Che Guevara was to begin with. It’s just a face on a shirt to them, one that clearly denotes hipsterness and fashion sense, so of course they’ll buy it.

True. If you don't know who he was, you can't get the irony. This assumes that such tee shirt wearers understand what "irony" means in the first place... Cue Alanis Morissette reference for what they probably think it means.

I have to agree I see it more likely to be ignorance than irony. Likewise, I think people who don't like him from an informed perspective would most likely choose a different way to be ironic.
Either way, she should get off my lawn.

I'm not convinced it's Che. Looks a LOT like James Brown.
Does having Che as a desktop picture on £3,500 worth of MacPro count as wrong also? Even revolutions need good design. Right?

For comparison:
I agree that it looks a little off from the "iconic" Che image.

There's boob deformation going on.
The best tipoff is the wispy hair above the right shoulder. I'm sure it's Che though. My eyes may not be great, but they have better resolution than the iPhone.

In the spirit of CSI, we'll need to zoom-and-enhance to be sure.
