Hi,

I am trying to troubleshoot ssh issue where it was suggested to run Repair Permissions. Repair Permissions finishes in few seconds !!! it doesnt report anything broken. Did from install DVD and same result.

could there be anything wrong with OS?

I think it's more likely that there was nothing wrong with your permissions in the first place. "Repair your permissions" seems to be the "chicken soup" of Mac maintenance. It may or may not do anything useful, but it gives you a nice warm feeling-unless it doesn't seem to do anything at all.

It's most likely that your SSH problem has nothing to do with any permissions. Are you acting in response to the "SSH Doesn't Work in Leopard" thread here?

I'd pay more attention to the config file. It looks like not all "out of the box" setups are equal-or functional.

I have posted the sshd_config contents on that post. Would you be able to point to the answer?
