The closer this gets to release I keep expecting the toolbar buttons and buttons previewed in general to less resemble mine from JetBlack, is this on the todo list? I think if you were to use the "glowing" lower efect on them they would much better represent this theme. Or do they do that but just on the pressed state?

That looks awesome!
But did anyone else notice the grey around the bookmarks icon is Safari? You can change that.

I am new to Mac's and have a question about themes. In WinXP you had to have a program like WindowBlinds to run different themes. I have not seen anything like that in Mac's. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

Can anyone please help me with info on how to run different themes on a Mac?

Thanks in advance.

Um, I don't think it looks anything like your win-amp skin.

This skin has changed alot since it's initial concepts which were, imo, more similar to my design. I never meant for to come across accusatory and clearly stated that any similarity was in passing. This thread then let loose with enough animosity to make me wish I had never made a simple observation to this rather hostile community. Rest assured I'll not make any more unecessary appearances here.

guys & gals, please ... similarities between themes is a topic that has already been bludgeoned to death in countless threads. It is something that is inevitable because every theme is a source of inspiration for every other theme. let us all cool down and enjoy whatever masterpieces these masters create.

@rpeterclark: can i request you not to take offense and please stick around? your inspiration could become a guikit soon (multipass carbon) and we cannot lose a talent like you.

@MODS: can we please change the title of this thread to reflect the theme name ? will make it easier to locate in the page, me thinks

I actually like the non-apple apple menu so much better. It gives the menubar this slick feel. Can it be an option? I really really really liked the menubar without the apple logo.

SS2 / TP2 is awesome!

Without too much compromise, even Photoshop is 100% usable with Cathode now.

I do believe this and SimpleX are my favorite themes and I have not even used this one yet..

Yeah I'm very exited too, 2 things I am worried about, Hows it work with photoshop? And hows it work with proteus when you have more than one conversation going, by that I mean the little chat toolbar that slides out showing you your participants.

I have a couple of comments:

- I would really like to see the Safari/Finder buttons (and any more that are like that?) looking like the push buttons and tabs, they look great.

- It would be nice if some of the elements were tightened up (Checkboxes, Radio Buttons, the Slider).

- The indeterminate progress bar doesn't really seem to match the theme at all.

"My First Theme" couldn't have been better looking than this, ever I've been using SIRO since it's beta release, guess it's time to move over to something new, and now that SS2.0 support some new black theme thingies, this could actually work.

Please release it with those toned-down apple desktops, they rock You rock!

Butterfly Reality Network loves SIRO.

Dragun could you include a sub-style to the theme.. with instead of the apple on the corner.. like this Screenshot i think this was one of the frist betas i tihnk it looks so much cleaner looking with the menu bar without the apple in the corner and the glowing line better. i really hope you consider doing. it.

Dragun, my only concern is with the visibility of the text in the titlebar of a non-active window. can this be made more readable? This theme looks really good.

I agree they are still looking exactly like the JetBlack Safari and toolbar buttons in the normal state; they really should be made to match the rest of the custom Cathode button/tab styles for total cohesiveness. They have more definition in their "gloss" around the edges and stuff so with the two different styles it makes it feel more inconsistent.

I disagree swiz...

They look plenty different, the screen speaks for it's self.

They are both pretty close to the original finder buttons, so it's hard not to have something similar if you are basing things off of apple's own.

Which is.. annoying

Its never been an issue of ripping me off, he used alot of JetBLack elements in this in the beginning, it was no secret. Im just voicing my support of justinp's comment that it would look better if all the buttons were styled with the same treatment.
