Hi,

iComic keeps crashing under 10.3. It will run if you delete the prefferences file then it will run, but then it will crash next time if you don't delete the prefferences file.

When I installed 10.3 I just did update, I didn't do a clean install... I don't think that could be the reason iComic is crashing...

Does anyone have a solution to this?
I really like iComic, I haven't found anything else that comes close to it.

I can confirm that iComic does not work for me either, after an archive install of 10.3.

But apparently this is a known problem -- there is a forum accessible from the iComic download page and postings there confirm that it is broken. Apparently iComic uses perl for some of its functionality and the perl install in Panther is somewhat different.

I also like iComic a lot.

Work around.

1. Delete the prefrences
2. Open iComic wait for it to d/l all the comics
- Do not do anything! (like brows comics or anything)
3. Find the new preferences file... and then lock it.
- To lock it go get info and click lock. Then it will work
