I am running Mac OS X 10.3.7 on a Powerbook (Al 1.5 Ghz/1.5 Gig RAM) with the version of Mail that goes with that. My POP mail server is Verizon.
Mail gives you a number of options of how mail on a POP server is to be dealt with. You can delete from the server immediately, or after one of several intervals OR after you move a message from the Inbox. This should include moving the message to the trash as well.
Anyway, this option used to work. Messages on the server would stick around if I left them in the Inbox or would be deleted when I deleted them through Mail or moved them to a local mailbox other than the Inbox.
Now this option seems to be broken. If use Verizon's netmail to check on the status of messages, when I delete them or move them, they remain on the server.
Interestingly, the Delete Immediately option continues to work.
Anyone able to check this on there systems?
Any workaround?
I looked at the com.apple.mail.plist file and it looks OK.
Thanks for listening.
