Just recently my iMac G5 ( ibm ) has started having problems when booting. The startup sound does not happen and the power-on indication light comes on bright but then dims and then after a short while the fan kicks on high. Nothing appears on the screen during this time, I've ran the hardware diagnostic test disc last night ( i got it to succesfully boot / restart once ) and it said that there were no errors. Just want to get some feedback before i end up calling applecare tomorrow. Like i said, this literally happened out of nowhere the machine was running fine the other day.

anybody know what this means or have a similar problem?
