I am looking into getting SuSe 7.3 for my iBook 500 w/384mb...Does anybody know if it's any good? I never used Linux before and want to learn and I heard that SuSe is very good for beginners...is it pretty simple, fast, and stable???

I also heard that the installation takes forever...is this true anymore? Since I'm a beginner and very new to the Linux world...do I need a book or is SuSe that simple to use?

I haven't encountered a Linux distro that is a quick install. Suse is easy though, no book required.

Question...Do I have to buy SuSe 7.3 PPC version to install on my iBook or can I just buy SuSe 7.3 Personal Edition???

No, it has to be the PPC edition or else you just get a stack of useless x86 disks.
