Simple question. Where did you buy your iMac? Would you recommend other people buying from there?

I purchased my iMac rev c from the Mac Zone. I was very happy with the service and speed of which they were able to get it out to me. The one thing abut online/catalog retailers that I have seen is to look for the best deal, they are always offering some special.

Hey..
MOST DEFINITELY..Outpost.com. I've ordered numerous items to order, including my iBook SE. They have FREE overnight shipping if you order before midnight eastern time. Also, everything is tax-free as long as you don't live in Ohio or California. They have a 30-Day MONEY BACK GUARANTEE (no questions asked). They're an authorized Apple dealer, and have live customer service at an 800 number. I recommend them fully! (Also, they often have "offers" with their computers, but you have to do a search for the product, and see what the results are, becuase you can still purchase the item by itself, but they may also have the same item at the same price, but with a freebie with a different product code..)

I've often felt like letting wolves loose on a marching band . Have tose commercials actually been put on TV? I don't watch much on the tube, so I honestly don't know. I'd love to see the complaints that the commercials invite at the end.
And that's true too.--Shakespeare, King Lear

Here's another vote for Outpost.Com. I've always had great service with them. Here's a twist... Go to Outpost through Ebates and get some cash back. Ebates will pay you back (by rebate check) 5% of your total Outpost purchase. That's a $74.70 rebate on an iMac DVSE.

I bought my imac dvse at my local Sears. They pricematched Microcenter's storewide 20% off sale (last year?) and I also got the Sears card delayed billing.

I bought my old Lime iMacDV from outpost.com and they're excellent. But I bought my new iMacDV SE from Double Click in Nazareth, PA. They're an excellent Mac-only store with everything from iBooks to G4 towers on display. I just wish there was a local mac dealership.

BTW, Circuit City had the top 3 iMacs ($999-$1499) on display this weekend. I've purchased from them in the past and they have an excellent return policy and customer service. The reason i didn't buy from them is that they said they weren't getting the new iMacs until much later! So far I've had no bad experience buying Macs or peripherals.......joe

Another vote for Outpost! I think the second state in which tax is charged is CT. But it was a great deal for me in NY.

I wish I'd known about that "ebates" rebate thing a week ago, when I placed my order. <sigh>
