There setup is pretty nice, ive never seen such a good setup before. Also I got a dedicated fax line with them. When did you try Vonage last?

Calls on the Gizmo Project is free to other Gizmo Project customers. It costs nothing to sign up. It costs nothing per month. You must buy or somehow get yourself a VoIP phone (Plantronics or Hello Direct?) and download the Gizmo Project software for free. (Supports Mac, too!) Check it out!

Gizmo Project Internet Phone
Gizmo Project uses your internet connection (broadband or dial-up) to make calls to other computers. With the click of a mouse, you’re connected to friends, family, and colleagues anywhere on earth. It’s just that simple. You talk clearly. For as long as you want. For free.

And with inexpensive add-ons like Call In and Call Out, you can talk to any telephone–mobile or landline–on the planet. Any phone? Yes.

Download Gizmo Project, and suddenly it all clicks–some calls are better online.

Here's how it works:

Gizmo to Gizmo calls:

Call anyone with a Gizmo Project for free. It’s just that simple. How free is free? click here for more information.

Calling landlines and mobile phones:

With Call Out, you can call any landline or mobile phone with super cheap Call Out Credits. Super cheap? How does 1.8 cents a minute sound? Enter any number into Gizmo Project and dial away. It rings like a normal phone, sounds like a normal phone, it only costs less. You only pay for the calls you make, and your credits only expire if you don’t use your account for six months. There are no monthly fees, no connection fees, and all billing is per minute. Simple, inexpensive, great quality.

Receiving calls from mobile phones and landlines:

Want to receive calls from mobile phones and landlines? With Gizmo Call In, for $5/mo, you can have a phone number in over 50 cities in the US and UK. And, your Call In number goes with you wherever you may roam. So the folks who call you are charged as if they’re calling you at home. Easy for you. Convenient and cheap for them.

I got vonage because:
Needed a dedicated reliable phone for my customers
Needed a dedicated reliable fax line for my customers
Our service is set to ring my cell phone, my parnters cell phone and the VOIP phone at the office all at the same time, who ever picks up gets the call, this also allows us to take up to 3 calls at the same time on the same number
The call tracking which was a unexpected bonus
Call transfer which is nice, can transfer a call to any of our cell phones
and the unlimited north America calling is nice too
