I find it interesting that, while the grammar (capitalisation, punctuation, apostrophes, verbal forms) is completely rubbish, there are very few actual spelling mistakes. There’s ‘satalite’, ‘apriciated’, and ‘critiria’, but apart from that, everything is correctly spelt.

(And yes, I’ve seen much, much, much worse than this. If you add some punctuation and apostrophes, this reads quite decently—the sentence structure and flow is there and works.)

So what you're saying is that he *was* talking about Ariel the mermaid, and not aerial ?

^ Oh, I completely missed that. I just figured Ariel was some satellite/television/whatever company or system used in the UK. Yeah, aerial makes more sense.

Or Ariel for washing clothes (maybe they fix washing machines?)

or the car that does things to your face

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

i have just started an ariel and satalite installation company i have been run an electric company for the last 3 years
Translation: I just started a company that installs either Little Mermaids or Laundry Detergent and "Satalites." "Have been run" = An electric company made me run for the last 3 years."

i came across some sky buddy system with all trade and das i was wondering if anyone else have done this with them or another company
All trade and das included!

and how did u find it i used to work for sky
If you used to work for sky, then why ask others about their experiences with them? You should already know how they are.

so i am aware that they are pulling peoples ASA from them so not even gonna try direct with sky.
Wait, didn't you just ask how they were to work with, implying that you didn't know about them and now you say you do? And tell me exactly how do they "pull people's aspirin" from them? (ASA=acetylsalicylic acid, aka aspirin).

any help apriciated

also what type of critiria do these buddy schemes look for i am happy selling sky as i have done that in the past

many thanks

You're happy selling sky even though you know they screw people over.

I'm guessing ASA is Authorised Sky Associate or something like that.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

that would be Arielle.

Ariel is one of the archangels - or the dishwashing detergent (I didn't know it was called that in English-speaking countries too).

Oh.

Arielle, die Meerjungfrau – Wikipedia

Well, then.

I guess the international appeal of the detergent brand makes up for that. "Ariel" is a man's name.

Also, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ariel_(angel)

You got it bass ackwards (on purpose ?).

Ariel (detergent) is mainly a German brand.
Therefore, for the German market, the mermaid's name was changed to minimize confusion (or potential lawsuits).

No, nothing backwards - you just didn't grok what I wrote.

"Ariel" is a men's name (compare "Gabriel") that means "Lion of God" in Hebrew. It is also the name of a Biblical angel (again, compare "Gabriel").

In some cultures "Ariel" is (fairly recently) also used as a female given name. Not so in Germany (or, incidentally, in Israel).

It just seemed to me that having learned that the detergent is called "Ariel" abroad as well balances out not having known that the Little Mermaid's name uses what I'm accustomed to as the masculine spelling of her name outside of Germany.

I seriously doubt that brand confusion entered into that decision.

"A-S-S" = Acetylsalicylsäure.

You don't call it "LAD", either, do you?

TBH, that's what it was called at our school. I have no idea whether this was its common term, or whether it wasn't possibly spelled "douf", or whether it was a local clique girls' thing.

That's a common mistake. They look similar, but Helvetica is actually her much more attractive sister.

It's been on the market in Germany since 1966, but it hit the rest of Europe in 1967, and "it is the flagship brand in Procter & Gamble's European, Mexican, Japanese, Brazilian, Peruvian, Turkish, Filipino, Colombian and Venezuelan portfolios."

The German wiki entry says it's called "Tide" on the US market.
