Hi When I use the itunes -->Advanced--> check for purchased music

it doesn't down load all the songs that I bought.

Has anyone got any advice on how to deal with this?

It's not designed to do that. You'll have to copy the songs over manually.

So what is it designed to do.

Copy over as in burn CDs?

If I have some songs on my home computer and want them on my work computer then other than burning CDs is there another way.

My iPod doesn't allow song to download to computers only recieve them.

how do other people transfer songs?

And to add a warning word:

You can download the music your purchase only once. Back it up carefully, because when you lose it, it's gone.

This is the wrong forum, and you could easily have found the answer to your questions by looking at the built-in iTunes help or Apple's website, or by doing a search.

Have a look at the iTunes preferences on how to burn data CDs (containing your purchased music). Have a look at Apple's support site for a backup strategy for the purchased music:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93033
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93474

When you have the data CD you can easily add the music to other computer's iTunes library by double clicking. You could also transfer over your local network, e-mail etc.

Also check out PodWorks, a nifty little app that will let you use your iPod to move your music between machines, and a bunch more. You'll save the registration fee in blank discs!
