In our school, my printer and iMac are hooked up to a router, nothing else is hooked up to the router. I have printing problems. What is the best way and could someone explain bonjour and the other choice (ip?). What is the most effecient way for me to set it up?

Thanks,

Coop

What kind of "printing problems" do you have? Can you simply not print? Can you not even add the printer in Printer & Fax preferences? More detail of exactly what you're doing and what's not working would be helpful.

Also the router in question would be helpful.

Steve

Simply won't print. Printer will print a test page. I can add a printer.

What is the printer Make and Model?
What is the router Make and Model?
What version of OS X is running on your iMac?
On the router. Is the printer connected to one of the ethernet ports, or to a USB accessory port?

Like ibook_steve says, we need more info to work from.
