Agents of SHIELD, and Peggy Carter, have been renewed.
Yay, more Jarvis! And Peggy!

I haven't watched Agent Carter, and oddly, have not heard good things about it.

I watched the first few episodes. It wasn't horrible, but not worth my time. It felt like it was trying way too hard with all the period-peice stuff. Hitting you over the head with it nonstop.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

Yeah, I was thinking, "yeah, she's a tough woman, I get it, but you don't need to make her out to be a bully".

I'll watch anything with Bridget Regan in it.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Saw it, liked it more than the first one. I think that puts me in the minority, right?

You were already in the minority for hating on Winter Soldier. Besides...

BTW, I want to check out Daredevil on Netflix. I've heard nothing but rave reviews.

I also, I've never rooted so hard for a man to not make it back to his family.

Every ****ing fight scene I had to stop myself from yelling, "You know what would be good here? Arrows!"

Quicksilver guy was way too jacked. Still good, though.

Two episodes in and I'm hooked. That hallway fight at the end of episode 2 was fantastic.

No, I think they ditched him to leave some space in the squad for the new guys. That last scene might also be read as a hint of who is on Cap's side in the Civil War story line.

I think the only Avenger that wants out is RDJ, and Marvel is probably willing to pay very well to keep him around. Sam Jackson has also voiced some concerns about staying on for much longer, but he only really needs to show up in a scene or two, not carry the movie.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Yeah, I watched it several times, simply amazing camera work and choreography. The all-in-one-take technique, which is virtually unheard of in a such a long sequence, gives it a stunningly visceral look, relaying his anger and desperation. You can almost feel his pain and fatigue.

I doubt he'll be fighting, it'll mostly include him as a peripheral character impacted by the Hero Registration Act, I believe. A major issue for him specifically, given how secretive he is regarding his home life.

Just watched Guardians. Didn't know anything about their story/comics/whatever. Just a fun movie to watch. Just like most of the other comic book movies that came out. Never was/never will be a comic reader. Just enjoy the movies.

Why is she a bully? Put Tony Stark or James Bond in her shoes, is he a bully? Double standards bro.

I thought the pacing and writing were a breath of fresh air after false starts/inconsitency with Agents of Shield. Seemed Peggy Carter had more focus, and a shorter "season" meant they didn't have filler eps. I liked the time shift as well... as far as being hit in the head with it, well, it was kind of the point.

Yeah, if they acted like her, they would be. No double standard, sometimes she was just being an asshole. Also they're tough without having to run around slapping people with their gender identity like she did (which was very out of character for that era). There were tough women back then, proportionately more than there are now, more than likely, but they were strong without being masculine.

Really, both of the non-"supers" are dumb, if you think about it. Neither should have survived through the first movie, given how comparatively fragile they are.

Right, but we'll cut slack for cool factor. Which Hawkeye has none of.

(I recently read about the TV Trope of implied secondary powers; i.e., Human Torch not feeling the flames, The Flash not getting blisters from running so long, hard and fast. What a bitch it would be to have to consider all that)

Thor has perhaps the most ridiculous costume out of all the major comic heroes, but he's also my favorite character from the new Marvel movies, Captain America notwithstanding.

Just look at the goofball...

That's great.

Technically Spidey is strong enough to lift the lid (being able to lift at least 1 ton) since he wouldn't be directly in contact with the hammer. Although, the lid would probably break before that, sending Mjolnir into the bowl. Can you imagine the look in Thor's face when he comes back to find Mjolnir in the toilet covered in piss and sh*t? If that doesn't trigger Ragnarok, nothing will.
