I wanted to format a partition NTFS on my osx side? Disk utility only does FAT. is there any software I can do it with?

Tuxera and Paragon should both be able to do that. NTFS-3G might, but I'm not sure they have sorted out Lion support yet, and there are reports of partitions created with it not being visible in Windows.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.
