It's no coincidence apparently..
I was just reading that feature about Jonothan Ives, Apples main designer man, that is linked on the front page of Macnn right now..
http://observer.guardian.co.uk/comme...111276,00.html

And here it says, and I quote..

"On a grey afternoon he drove to Hull (Place in England) to present a new toilet to Ideal Standard (This company makes all kinds of bathroom stuff). It was Comic Relief Day and the firm's head of marketing sat through the presentation wearing a red nose, David Brent-style. Ive's designs were rejected. Shortly afterwards Ive went to the US and drove from San Francisco to Cupertino to present the new laptop to Apple. The firm liked his ideas so much they offered him a job."

So, now you know..

But for the full Scrooge effect, maybe you would like to go ask Macnn to pull the story from their front page, if it is so old.

Happy new year

The MacNN story is current, yes. The info on Eve's toilet-past isn't. It's years old.

But my posting reflects that I was pissed off right then, since a lamp fell on my foot. It hurts still . So: Appologies to you and a happy new year.
