Mine is the second CD by E.S. Posthumus, a couple of brothers trained in classical music, which they have taken and instilled their own vibrance and twists into. Tracks from their first cd have been used in numerous TV shows and movies.
http://www.esposthumus.com/

more highly recommended than I can express in a simple internet posting.

Weakass

But yeah, I'm looking forward to Takk... as well, though I was better at resisting the temptation to download it. Already heard some of it live, though.

You know, those little kinda shiny, round, flat things that you can also use as frisbees, and which become very funny indeed to look at if you put them in the microwave. Legend has it that each of them hides a secret treasure of music, which can be extracted through the use of a so-called 'CD player' or 'computer' (see page 8 for alleged sightings of these two mythical symbols).

Be careful, though; the CD is a most devious creature with a wicked sense of humour: if it doesn't like you, your 'treasure' of music might turn out to be a true show of horror, leaving you but an empty shell of your former self. According to local myths, one was so evil that the treasure of music it emitted to its young and innocent treasure hunter was the dreaded Britney Spears, and the treasure hunter's young soul was rent in two.

The new Nickel Creek release, which comes out today.

The next album by Spinvis, one of the Netherlands' most intriging and talented musicians. Although his texts are very clever and great to unravel, which might give all those none-Dutch speakers over here some trouble, his musical performance alone makes it worthwhile to listen to his songs.

Unfortunately, momentarily there's not much going on on his website (http://www.spinvis/nl), but if you like you can listen to one of his concerts over here : http://3voor12.vpro.nl/3voor12/group...groups=6005173

Scroll down for some of his video clips, from which I highly recommend you to give "Bagagedrager" and 'Smalfilm" a try. Edit: no, go and listen to all four of them

Besides this, I'm already looking forward to Sufjan Steven's next 50 albums. Great work

You have taste. Can I also mention that I've been in the studio where Sigur Rós recorded their new album when I was in Iceland. Yes I am cool.

I want to see Alafoss, too. Well, I basically want to see Iceland, but Alafoss is high on my list of places to go.

And I partied with (some of) the band after the backstage hubbub after the Copenhagen gig last month. Yes, I am cool too.

Downloaded it this morning, right after posting.

It's a far cry from their other releases, and most of the Bluegrass foundation is gone in most of the songs -- but it's pretty good (still haven't finished listening to all of it).

A rumor floated for awhile last year that a box set/multi cd/whatever was going to be created of all the Traveling Wilbury's stuff. That would be on my buy now list pretty damn quick.

Yeah, it was the No Need To Argue tour, but it was okay live. As for her exposing herself, we weren't impressed: every time her pants dropped, the stage lights would hit her white butt and it'd temporarily blind us.
