A few questions..

Can a Apple Cinema Display be set to a non native resolution? I'm thinking of getting the apple DVI to ADC adapter for my 20" Apple Cinema Display, can i make the sisplay show in somthing other than 1680 by 1050? Ive read someplaces that I can, and others say it will only run at the native resolution?

i.e. could i use this adapter to plug the display into a PC and use say 1280x1024 or something like that?

Thanks
I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.

Why would you want to? Any graphics card with a DVI port should support WSXGA+. If you scale it up and stetch it out it will look fuzzy.

Why would I want to?

Well i've got the 20" Apple Display and I was thinking of getting an Xbox 360, and using it with the display.

And I dont think the Xbox will output 1680x1050, I know it will do 1344xsomething or other, but not sure if it does more than that.

I realise it will look fuzzy at a non native res, but when its video im not really going to notice.
I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.

A 20" TV is probably cheaper than the DVI-ADC adapter these days.
