With previous versions of Adium I simply navigated the resources folder for any .icns files and renamed them/changed them, but in this version the icon seems to persist once Adium is launched.. has anyone had any better luck at all?

I have CandyBar, etc, but still I'm struggling, grrr.

Try copying the icon you want in Preview, then find Adium in the finder, click Get Info. Then click on the Adium icon in the inspector window and do Cmd+V and paste the new icon.

Thats never worked for Adium as when you open the app you get the logging in then online/status icon and finally it'll stay on the normal duck when you quit.

I should be able to modify the resource folder as normal, but in this new version it's not working?! (I'll have another go tonight and will let you know if I manage it...)

I think the only solution is to modify one of the Adiumy dock icons within the Adium resources. Or modify another Dock icon package. It's what I do.
