Many thanks for that! Guess my wording in the search wasnt spot to find those.
I was leaning towards the powerLogix 900Mhz G3 board.. But it seems no one has that yet..
Oh well, if anyone else has any further input, it would be much appreciated.
(Also, me living in England means shipping is gonna be a nightmare on this stuff)

Well if you do upgrade to the G3 900 mhz from Powerlogix, post your results here, along with info on how the process went. I have a 350 mhz iMac I am debating whether to upgrade or just save for a cheap eMac.
You may want to consider the eMac yourself. Soon Apple will bring out a new OS, 10.3. If you buy an eMac you will be able to get it for $20, but if you upgrade your iMac it will cost you $129!
So that would be $350 +$129= $479. Just $300 more gets you a spanking new G4 867 mhz eMac and 32 meg video card (not upgradeable in your iMac). With an Edu purchase, $100 more gets you the 1ghz eMac with CD burn drive.

800 or 1gig eMacs
I have looked at those too. But as I said, I am a Brit. Everything costs a bit more here.. I am about to buy a new G4 PowerBook anyway (As soon as they update the damn things). But I have a kind of silly attachment to my iMac DVSE, and i'd like to keep it. Plus it's already running 10.3 btw
I like the novelty factor of having a G4 slot loading iMac.. And I suspect a 900 MHz G3 would perform just as well, if not better? It will all be down to which company can do the best shipping deal to England.. If they are willing to do it at all that is??
I will look into it for sure..

I share your silly attachment to your old G3 iMac. My 350mhz Blue iMac was the first I purchased with my own money. It took me two years of trying too! And it is also running OS 10.3. I have her with 586 megs of RAM, new keyboard and mouse. Still used every day by the family. I would love to keep this Mac functioning for another 3 years ....

Interesting, i just picked up 2 350Mhz iMacs for $50...
Nice way to modernize them... the 100MHz bus is going to be an issue.

If you upgrade I would go with the 900Mhz G3, and as for 100Mhz being an issue, my sister and dad are running jaguar on a 333Mhz G3 with a 66Mhz bus, so I think you'll be doing great with a slot loader machine. But, as was just mentioned by another poster, strongly consider the eMac. This is a perfect example for Apple, if you give us a good inexpensive machine, we are more likely to purchase a new machine from Apple instead of holding on to our old machines and giving our money to someone else.
