I agree with the name as soon as they remove all that debug code. Then it'll be Snappy.

sooooooo tired. not even remotely funny anymore.

i propose that anyone that uses the "s" word should immediately have their post count reduced by 1 star....by 2 or 3 stars for those with 4 or 5 (who really ought to know better by now)

That depends upon how you look at it. Applescript is just another interface to the computer, like Aqua. One is text based, the other is graphical. Same could be said of tcsh, bash or any other CLI shell.

Its an old OLD joke.

Whenever anything is slow, it's always because of the debug code.

Folks also like to play tricks on n00bs by saying "its so slow, well duh, you were supposed to uncheck 'remove debug code' when you were installing'"

And Snappy ? is what every good release of OS X aspires to.

(just wait till 10.2.5 and the obligatory flood of Snappy ? posts, in which I will surely be partaking)

^^^ if theres any ? in there they should be the TM symbol but for some reason it keeps gettin changed... no fun...

OTOH, "snappy" is better than "Ohh, this new 10.x.x version does defintive feel a few percent faster than the old 10.x.x on my [insert mac model here]!".
"Snappy" says it all in one word. And some times it holds true as well. (I.e. 10.1.2 -> 10.1.3 on g3 powered macs.)
