Alright, I have a Microsoft hat from when I visited Redmond, and a Slackware Linux pin which I got at some convention somewhere. I'm thinking of wearing the Slackware pin on top of the Microsoft hat, which is funny as I don't run any Microsoft software, and I use RedHat, not slackware.

I'm also gonna bring in my Toshiba laptop (with RH9) and try to stealthily unplug the ethernet cord from one of their iMacs and put it into mine so I can deliver a play-by-play on various message boards. Man, I wish I had a wifi card, as I'm sure Apple Stores have Airport...

Yes, they do have Airport in the Apple Stores. I know their laptops use it, but I'm not sure about their desktops. I wouldn't be surprised if they slapped Airport cards in everything and that's how they all get the 'Net.

In that case, you'd be screwed.

No he wouldn't... crossover cable plus internet sharing equals w00t!

However, why not just use a Mac? I'm sure no-one would mind

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.

They'd probably think you were a hobo and just kick you out. Not many people can pull off wearing the same pants from 1973. ;-)
