Looks like we are getting another superhero movie. The date has yet to be announced, and casting is not complete.

There is some interesting speculation of who would make a good Thor. I haven't seen Generation Kill, and Alexander Skarsgård didn't wow me in True Blood. However, rumors are that he may be it. I suppose he could look the part.
Supposedly, Josh Hartnett is to play Loki. I think he is a good actor, though not sure if he would be the right fit.
I am curiously as to who would play Odin. Kris Kristofferson may make a good Odin.
I was a big Marvel fan back in the day. As cheesy as it was, I loved the Hulk movie from the late eighties that had Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk, and Eric Allan Kramer as Thor (Had to IMDB for that guys name).
Hopefully, it isn't bubbly, but follows the darker path of Watchmen and Dark Knight.

Sean Bean as Thor. That would rock.
I hope they don't screw up the costume. Dump the helmet, keep the cape. Give him a frigging beard! And keep the twirling hammer; if they go with the lame hammer-axe from Ultimate Thor, I'll be pissed.
I hope they tone down the Loki costume, too. The huge horns would suck.
Oh, and I heard Natalie Portman will be in this film, too. Cool.

FYI - Marvel announced after the success of Iron Man that there would be a Thor movie, a Captain America movie, Iron Man II, and then an Avengers movie.

I'd like to see Kevin McKidd from Journeyman play Thor. However, I think Matt Damon would make a good Cap.
