One time while talking to AppleCare, he mentioned some key combination to hold while booting up to have the machine reboot and reset some RAM setting. I don't recall exactly what it was, but I think I need to do that. Does anyone remember? It was an odd combination.

Command-Option-P-R to reset the PRAM. Hold it until your machine beeps at least 3 times.
