I'm trying to help a friend find Internet Explorer v5.2.2. The latest and last version for Mac OS X is 5.2.3, but she needs access to a specific site that only deals with 5.2.2 or earlier. I cannot locate this anywhere on the web and I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I did suggest she try Safari, Netscape or FireFox, but non of those will work either she said.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure these won't work? What specific site is she having trouble with? Chances are, at least one of those browsers should be able to handle it unless it's using some sort of ActiveX garbage, in which case it won't work with Mac IE either.

With that said, if the older version came with some version of Mac OS X, you could pull it out of the install packages with Pacifist. I wouldn't really recommend it, though. IE is a terrible program.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

It needs a specific version of IE? Sounds like she's not very up on computers. As mentioned above, give uo the site name. I bet it's more of a case of operator error.

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.
