iOS devices represented some 73 percent of all enterprise mobile device activations during the December quarter, a new Good Technology report claims. The data (
PDF) comes from customers of the company's Good Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform, but includes a number of Fortune 500 companies spread across different sectors. Good notes that it saw overall activations grow 34 percent between Q1 and Q4.
If the Q4 results are further divided into platform and form factor categories, the iPhone led the pack with 54 percent of activations. Android phones took under 25 percent, while the iPad came in third at 19 percent. Android tablets claimed the remaining margin.
Good notes that proportionately, the iPad took 91.4 percent of tablet activations versus Android's 8.6 percent. The iPad was particularly popular in the business, financial, and professional service sectors, which together formed 60 percent of the market.
