BBC:

Emergency services have been called to three Tube stations after "incidents", Scotland Yard said.

Police confirmed they had been called to Warren Street, Oval and Shepherd's Bush stations.

There have been reports of smoke coming from the stations and all three have been evacuated.

The whole of the Northern Line has been suspended, along with the Victoria Line and the Hammersmith and City. One hospital has begun its emergency plan.

Detonators only, apparently.

3 tube stations + 1 bus. On a Thursday.

The terrorists' way of saying "you're not safe", I guess.

Dummy Explosions with Detonators?

Seems to me like this was more of a statement that no amount of security could protect the underground, not necessarily a specific attack to kill/mame.

Armed police are reportedly going into a hospital near Warren St (University College Hospital - where most of the victims are from 2 weeks ago), where a man was seen running away from the scene.

Pic of the cordoned area from SkyNews

UPDATE - Police are telling people who were phoning SkyNews to get off the phone.

Police think that there could be un-exloded bombs on the bus and at one of the tube stations

Me too!

OK... Make it three theories...

3) They're doing dummy runs to test out whether the security measures have improved (but this theory is weak - they might just as well have tested with real bombs).

Just hearing that some of the stations had been closed down around 11am, before any of this started, so possible that there might have been some suggestion of tip-off or intelligence report.

I heard on the radio that only the detonators went off, and sounded like champaigne corks popping. They are speculating that this was a copycat crime, and nothing more, or some really incompetent moronic ebonic errrrr code talking terrorists.

My prayers have been and still are with the citizens of Britain and London in particular. Just another reminder of our war with terrorism.

Is that the latest excuse/talking point ?

Muslim terrorists were busy terrorizing and blowing people up long before Iraq.

There weren't even bombs, but duds, like the morons who made them. Thank God.
Only the blasting caps went off. If there were anything else in the sachals to begin with. I'm thankful nobody was hurt.

Our TV has been out for a week so my news comes from the net and the radio...

Are you sure there weren't bombs ?

I heard that one of the terrorist savages attempted to detonate in the subway, and after only the cap went off, the terrorist fled with a hole in his shirt, apparently upset that he wasn't going to get any virgins today.

Passengers getting off the bus were covered in a white chemical substance, the same chemical which was used 2 weeks ago.

This thread is about the London bombings.

You are a troll, and a defender of the London bombings, since you are attempting to detract from the main issue.

I don't have any idea what they were, bombs (Made properly or not) that was my point. I'm happy only the cap went off.

So this could have been just a failed attempt to repeat the last bombings from the same group but different cell.

Hey, I don't have television or radio in the house so I'm only relying on my commute this morning and back with the car radio.

I hope this marks the end of the attacks in London. But somehow, I feel that this is only the beginning of a much larger wave of terrorism, and not just in London. I hope I'm wrong, though.
