Update includes now the elements missed in the initial release, a skin for calculator and the blue color variation made by Enzo Azul.

My Site: www.idleware.de
StandAlone Version (5.2 MB): click to load into ShapeShifter
Little Dream icontainer (2.2MB): Let me sleep, don't touch me.
Desktop Pictures (5.2 MB): I can see... things.. monsters....

[edit] Icons are available now aswell. Gotta hurry to work, so i'm a bit lazy bout posting a direct link. Just check my site. [/edit]

[edit2] text color issues in the Sweet Coma should be fixed now. the link is updated. addtionally i have also added the link to the desktop picture package (5.2 MB) which also contains a few bonus pictures not available in the complete guiKit.[/edit2]

[edit3]After i've gotten tons (ok, a few) of bad reports of f*cked up SIT archives and the generally bad quality of Allume's Stuffit 9 i have decided to ZIP things. End of report. I hope things work now. :-/[/edit3]

Sorry for the inconvenience. A link to the complete guiKit will be posted too.

Cheerz and kind regards, Daniel.

That new blue variant is impressive. I'll have to give this unique theme another try.

Not too keen on the theme, but the desktops and icons are among the best I've ever seen. Just love your version of Alice in Wonderland

Is anyone else able to install this? When I try, I get a message that the guikit is in a format that Shapeshifter is unable to understand. I'm downloading it directly from the Web site, via the Shapeshifter proxy...

Edit: The problem is still there. The error message I get is:

"The mod at "Sweet Slumber 1.1 SA" cannot be used because the guiKit file is in a format ShapeShifter does not understand."

I've tried starting the download with both OmniWeb and Safari, but no joy. Does this mod require Shapeshifter 2.0.1 (I only have 2.0)?

Quick followup: I think I've identified the problem I was having. For whatever reason, I'm not getting a complete download of the file. I'm getting a 48K file instead of a 5.2MB one. I'll try again tomorrow, when I have access to broadband instead of dial-up...

Looks awesome. Just can't use it because it makes Firefox and Thunderbird unusable with light blue text on white.

Yeah, I've tried to use it with those applications aswell... not very nice. We could use an application specific Metallifizer.

Anyways, i updated the guiKit once more. Text color issues should be corrected now. Thankx for reporting.

Cheerz.

Sweeeeet. The blue one looks to be the closest thing to a black version.

The theme looks great. Keep up the good work.
[Although I don't like the look of the selected tab.]

I really dig the blue, but one thing that keeps me from using it... you cannot see the names of your buddies in iChat.

I'm running the blue version now and, the theme in general, is so cool! I have Thunderbird excluded and I'm surfing in OmniWeb so my troubles are minor. Good Job to all who worked on this kool theme!

okay, i'm going to have to get Stuffit 9 it seems...

but looks good

but i was wondering why the desktops and icons weren't included in the .GuiKit? for the sake of dial-up users?

i would have thought it woulc be lots more convenient for everyone do just DL one time, and have everything?

Now that I've got it running, the blue version (Coma) is very cool. It even works properly with Mailsmith. Sadly, Mail.app is almost unusable, with black text on a dark blue background. Would an app skin help this (to make the drawer's background color white again)?

I have to agree, dark themes are still a mess in OS X. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Sweet Slumber and especially Coma. But like you said, Mail is unusable (black text on dark blue), Thunderbird is aweful (light blue text on very pale grey), and don't get me started on Adobe apps (have you tried figuring out the name of the tabs in the palettes?). And Quark doesn't display half of the pop-up menus...

I so wanted to use JetBlack when it came out, but gave up after 5 minutes. Same story with Sweet Slumber Coma.

We still have a long way to go before we match the level of customization Kaleidoscope allowed. Not blaming Jason mind you, he's doing a fantastic job ironing out the quirks. But in my book, dark themes are still a no-no with OS X
