Some people just have different priorities I guess. What type of shoes do you run in? How often do you go to the movies? Restaurants? How fast is your computer?

I use my iPod primarily in the car, home stereo, or on vacation; all times in which a small flash based HD would basically be useless. If it can only hold 20 songs, I may as well just pack around a bunch of CDs with a portable CD player.

It's hard to explain why the iPod is worth the extra money, but once you own one you tend to understand. And no, I don't have a fat wallet. I just happen to spend a lot more money on audio, music, and books than say, food, or clothes

Xactly. It's where you spend your money. I know guys who spent thousands of dollars on clothes. (Girls too .. for that matter). Then there are guys who spend several hundred dollars on !individual! parts for a car .. (junker clunkers that they "turn" into "race cars" .. *ahem*) .. then there are others that eat out all the time, watch nearly all new movies, buys console games, etc ...

I hoard my money and buy electronics ... =) on sale of course ... i got mine when the 4g was announced ... saved 100 bux on my 3g ... considering how i was gonna buy a 3g ipod for 300 bux ... i saved 100 dollars by waiting a week. and i got it on amazon ... so no tax no shipping ...

ipods are pricey .. pricier than i was willing to pay for a long time .. but .. yeah ... i love it .. there's something about holding such variety that makes it ... well .. you'll see...

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Best investment in a long time
Great for moving all kinds of data files, pictures, programs and movies.
I have also save money by no longer needing to burn CD's
Reality is the playground of the unimaginative
