After weeks of lurking these forums doing research for my soon-to-come switch from PC to Mac, I've finally registered to share my exciting little discovery:

nobilog: the secret of MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo)

It seems that a tiny little improvement detail went unnoticed in all of the threads that I've been reading on the new MacBook Pros. This is the top of the screen when the iSight is off:



And this is the top of the screen when it's on:



The light is almost completely invisible when off. Apple is freakin' amazing.

Yeah, Apple has always liked doing that – for example, the iMac’s “sleep light” is hidden, as was the iBook’s.

Where’d they hide the mic though? Is it in one of the speakers?

Yup. I noticed that too. I was moving my finger over that thinking "where's the LED?"
