Here is my situation, I have a Macbook Pro with a 160Gb harddrive, I currently have XP installed on a 15Gb partition, I would like to install Vista and Ubuntu. However I do not want to waste the space on my internal harddrive, this is where the external harddrive comes in. Is it possible to boot XP, Vista and Ubuntu from external harddrives? Is it possible to use bootcamp to do with, or will bootcamp only work with internal harddrives?
Is this situation possible?

None of the Windows OSs will (without considerable effort and no real guarantees) boot from an external drive. Ubuntu is possibly a different story, but I don't know enough about it to say. Boot Camp is right out-it will ONLY produce ONE additional partition (one that's usable anyway; it seems to create several, but all but one are very tiny), and ONLY from a Mac boot drive that's in its factory-original state.
You might consider something like Parallels, because it can not only run a number of OSs, but it produces compressed images that take up a lot less space than a real disk partition does.

Aww that sucks. I might be able to use Ubuntu with Parallels, but I can't use either XP or Vista as I will be using them for graphically intense uses.
Thanks for the advice.
