Okay, just wanted to get folks opinions on this new new thing and I didn't see a thread about it. I'm in the process of uploading my 7k+ collection of music. I can report that some of the DRM music I have bought on iTunes is not compatible. Otherwise, Google Music seems to run pretty well. It is kinda weird seeing my iTunes playlists in a web browser. Thoughts... Opinions...

It's very slick if you've got an Android phone or tablet. I love that Music Manager will automatically upload all the additions to my iTunes library quickly and efficiently, and then they're instantly on my phone. Even over slow-ish Verizon 3G, streaming is very quick and high-quality. If you don't have an Android device though, I don't see much use for it.

Does it require a credit card? This may be Google's chance to really get a lot of people to buy-in to Google Checkout.

Google Music itself doesn't, uploading your music is free. The music store does though, however, it doesn't have to be via Google Checkout.

When I looked at it during beta I wasn't fond of some of the limitations. I don't know if they still exist now in its present form, but I don't really care. I decided to purchase a license for Subsonic and I use that instead.
