soo yea, I thought I'd be slick and change the color of the display on the iTunes widget.
I changed 'default.png' and 'body.png' and of course there's all the little yellow-green pieces too. well, upon changing them, voila, my iTunes widget is now transparent, with just the scroll wheel and the display showing the song playing, all while hovering over nothingness. This is not what I wanted.
I have the default pieces, and replaced them all and it's still doing it.
No need to tell me I'm an idiot, I already know that. Is there a fix? (besides maybe pacifist or something
oh, and - is what I was trying to do even possible? It looked beautiful, nice blue-ish screen with regular colored player body. It'd display for a second when it launched in dashboard, but then go transparent.. : \

Just going to ask this, because I did this earlier, if you used photoshop to save the png, make sure you save it as png and not psd lol, I being stupid, saved it as a psd with a .png extension, it caused some problems.

a psd with a .png extension? hm.
this is a .png with transparency, it's the real deal.
additionally, the original .png files that were in the iTunes widget, once put back where they belong, continue to behave this way.
anyone??

Judging from the "?" in your picture, it looks like one of the images can't be loaded for some reason.

when Dashboard first loads after a restart, the image is correct, and the widget looks fine.. about three seconds later, poof, a blue question mark.

We love horror stories.
See if someone has another copy of the widget, erase yours, use his, try it, then use your mod. I'm not sure if each individual widget has a log or cache or something. Maybe that might be it. But what do I know?

Did you try viewing the widget in Safari and looking at activity monitor to see what is up?

Open the main html file in Safari (right-click the iTunes.wdgt, show package contents), not the widget itself. After it's open, go to Window -> Activity, or cmd-opt-A. If something doesn't get loaded, you'll see it in the Activity window.

Glad it's working, it looks great!
As for the text color, take a look in iTunes.css within the widget. There are choices for #titleDisplay and #timeDisplay. You should be able to change the colors with those.

Care to post your mod for download... for the graphics-challenged among us?
That blue-green one looked quite nice.

And the current outcome of these discussions is that signatures may not be larger than 200 x 50 pixels. Yours is 300 x 205 pixels, and is thus far too big. If the mods see it, they will give you a warning to change it; if you don't, they will delete it and prevent you from being able to change your signature yourself.

If you're being sarcastic here, haha. If not, dear God. Ridiculous. Lee large = ridiculously large.
Ice: Nice mod, I like the blue one very much.
Looking forward to my copy of Tiger actually shipping (ordered on the 28th, just got an order confirmation e-mail today. Am expecting the thing to ship some time in September ), so I can start doing some of this cool stuff too...
