So I've had my 1ghz 17" iMac for about 18 months now and I never really wanted to use the Pro speakers. I decided that I want to give them a shot now only to find that they don't seem to work properly. The sound is either very staticy or at best normal but it only comes from one speaker. I'm not sure if it's the speakers or the plug that is the problem. If it's the speakers, that's easy enough to replace but if it's the plug am I going to have to take it in for repair? I've got Applecare on it so I'm not concerned with the price but more likely going a few days without my machine. If it does need to be replaced, this will be the second time I've had to have the thing worked on (first time was for a screen replacement because the LCD flickered like mad). Anyhow thanks for any info.
