Hi,
I used to have an Epson Stylus Color 800 which I used with my G4 using an Epson Parallel to USB cable. I recently bought an HP Deskjet 842c to replace the epson(it was horrible plus it couldn't print at all from OS X or classic). It didn't come with a usb cable, and since I didn't have a spare one, I decided to try using the Parallel to USB cable from the epson with the HP. Surprisingly it works fine. However, would this make printing slower than if I used a regular USB A-B cable? Is parallel noticably slower than USB or is the difference in this situation negligable? Thanks for any thoughts on the matter.
Regards,
Dave
