Henge Docks: finally, a well designed docking station for Apple's MacBook line -- Engadget

Good things -
It looks cool
There's not much of a footprint on the deskspace
Its cheap for a docking station ($60-65)

Not so good things -
Would there be heat issues running a laptop closed and on its end?
Its actually a plastic shell that you feed your cables into and secure.

I like it, and there aren't too many, if any, options for a Macbook dock.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

It appears as if Henge's site is down now, ha ha. I don't think there would be any heat issues. I wish it was prettier though.

I think the concept of plugging in the cables one at a time makes more sense from a reliability standpoint.
As in this is a good idea.

No. Remember the machines are designed to run in closed lid mode, and hard drives can operate fine in the vertical orientation.

I would buy a few of those the day they are released if the dock would fit the macbook pro in a Speck case.

I really hope they update it to accept the newer "barrel" magsafe design. Actually, what I really want is for Apple to license it so 3rd parties can integrate it into their products.
What, me worry?
