my new 32 inch samsung hd lcd is up and running.

i plan on buying the mini-dvi to vga adapter to hook the macbook upto the tv.

what kind of picture quality can i expect?

it has hdmi and vga no dvi

suggestions

Use the miniDVI-DVI adapter (I think you already have it) and buy a DVI-HDMI cable; they're cheap, like $7 for 3-6 foot. It should look better than VGA.

DVI is HDMI without audio.

You can buy a DVI to HDMI converter.

Really, why do all this? Buy a DVD player..

if you're trying to use it as a second monitor, don't. TVs are not meant to be used in this fashion.
