I am not sure if I can ask this, but where can I find the OS 9 themes, Gizmo, High Tech, and Paper, and any other OS 9 themes?? I recently received a free G3 iMac and I am using it for my kids to play Classic games on. I would like to be able to customize it a little but DO NOT want to use Kaleidiscope.
Thanks in advance

Thanks Arcticmac, but most of those links for downloads aren't in the archive.

yeah, that would be cool too! That is what I meant by the Paper theme, I thought that is what it was called.

I did my, erm, "research", as the rules mentions, and I'm not sure how "ancient" this thread is (about a month old, per se?), so I am pretty curious as to whether I'd be able to grab a copy of said themes as well. Do they include sounds?

And sorry if I disturbed any flow by bringing an ancient thread in.

One month old is not ancient… just wait until someone brings a one year old thread back

I can e-mail those Mac OS 9 Themes to you, let me know an e-mail where send them.

Sounds are not included into Themes files. Those are 'Soundsets', it is like themes for sounds, obviously.

Feel free to get the Themes here…

Free file hosting, yourfilelink.com - online file resource.

I only have one soundset, SGI soundset which brings to the Mac the typical alert&action sounds from the Silicon Graphics computers, get it here…

Some more (third party) themes here..
4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download Appearance Themes.sit
and a few soundsets here...

..and if you haven't been to Ben's site yet (as posted above) you *really* ought too..
He has what could be the best ones ever made..especially check out 'Doohickey'..
what Gizmo shoulda been but 1000 times better.
I think it's just a disgrace that there's not a single website left in the world to view and download any OS9x themes (except for Ben's...)..it's a shame about resexcellence especially..

I only wished that Appearance Themes allowed for transparencies and made the window elements/resource graphics easier to edit. Otherwise, I would have ported my hack of the SmoothStripes K-scheme with Minium icons to an Appearance Theme LONG ago.....
