I see the weekly challenge has changed this week. Looks like 343 Studios is on the ball this week. I also don't remember seeing this weekly challenge before - then again maybe it showed up one of those weeks I didn't check (when I was playing Homefront).

I should check my stats for revenge kills. I wonder how many I get per match.

My stats seem to say I get about 1.1 revenge kills per game, but I seem to be getting 1.5 in team slayer tonight. Man I started out terrible but did better in some of my later games.

I see my finishing of Legendary Campaign on coop finally registered on Bungie.net too.

I'm not sure if I'll catch Crosbie360, though, he really motored past me while I was playing Homefront.

This is interesting... I thought one of the daily challenges had changed and sure enough it did. There was a Linked In challenge for 3000 CR that changed to Clip It Share It for 1250 CR.

Yeah, they goofed on the daily challenge. The Linked In challenge was for Bungie.net and not the new tracking site, halo.xbox.com. Another oops for 343 studios.

BTW, I'm already halfway through the weekly challenge. Action Sack and Team SWAT is the way to go for revenge kills. I'm at 45 of 77 right now.

Oh, ok, I didn't know there was a new tracking site, but that makes sense, as 343 Studios has taken it over.

Ok, I took a look at the new stats site. Is there a place where they have a list of ALL the commendations or medals? It seemed like there was only one stats page with tabs for each game type, with a summary for that game type. Or do you have to login to get more stats? The site didn't seem as detailed as Bungie's.

I didn't even see a history of games played.

Yeah, the site is not complete yet (hence the beta). I'm sure once it is done, they will cut the feed to Bungie.net.

Title update coming in October

Microsoft's Larry Hyrb (Major Nelson) has detailed the upcoming Title Update in a blog post from majornelson.com:

The team at 343i has been hard at work on an update for “Halo: Reach” both to bring new experiences to fans as well as address longstanding feedback from the community. The most noticeable change in the works? The return of the wicked, deadly and wildly fun “Halo: Combat Evolved” Magnum pistol to “Halo: Anniversary” and “Halo: Reach” multiplayer gameplay. An addition that will be supported in special, classic playlists, the original Magnum pistol is sure to rekindle some of the madness and carnage players reveled in a decade ago.

In addition, the update, which is targeted for release in October, will introduce several multiplayer fixes for “Halo: Reach” fans have been clamoring for. Armor Lock now absorbs a level of damage based on the amount of remaining energy a player has, diminishing its effectiveness. Active Camo’s duration has been reduced and the ability to block sword attacks using any weapon other than another sword has been disabled. And for fans of precision firing, reticule “bloom” is now configurable, delivering increased accuracy when firing in rapid succession.

This update will also enable “Halo: Reach” players using an Xbox 360 4GB console without a HDD to utilize Campaign and Firefight matchmaking which previously required a HDD.

I love that the armor lock now takes away health. Nothing pissed me off more than coming so close to killing someone and them using armor lock just so their team mate can come finish me off. I lost count on the number of kills I missed out on because of that BS.

Oh and Halo: CE pistol FTW!

I read on another forum that if you stick someone with a plasma grenade, they can't use armor lock to to save themselves.

This week's weekly challenge is interesting:

Co-op Dash – Clear any Campaign mission on Heroic, in co-op, in 9 minutes or less – 30343 cR

I've never seen the dash done. I've seen some guy try it, but he kept having trouble at the forklift glitch.

I'll have to see if I can find a video or partner who can do it. I've got an idea of how it's done.

I got my 30,343 CR tonight! I think I did the Nightfall Dash 3-4 times tonight. I was able to do the gate glitch on one run, but it's not as easy to maneuver that forklift as I thought.

Over 1,000 players in coop campaign matchmaking tonight. That has to be a record.

I see Stogie made Mythic.

Ok, it looks like 343 has a bug in the challenges today, they seem to be resetting on me.

I know I got the Dash and The Little Guys Challenges today, but now the stat pages say they haven't been completed. WTF!

Does this mean I can go for the Dash again? I'll probably get banned if I do.

Arrrgghhh... Why are there so many idiot douche-bags in HALO. I had to team kill a guy tonight, he was so annoying. Every time I grabbed the rocket launcher this guy keeps bringing down my shield. got me killed by the other team once, so i killed the guy and luckily didn't get booted. And on the top of it my team were mostly idiots so we were losing badly. Even with me bringing down falcons and banshees, they were wiping us out.

Reminds me of the idiot I saw in campaign. He purposefully destroyed the warthog to make it more difficult to finish the mission. Luckily I hijacked a wraiths.

What playlist were you in? It seems the grievers love to hang out in Big Team Battle and Team Slayer. That's why I stick to the SWAT, Action Sack or Multi-Team playlists.

Yeah, Big Team Battle. I like vehicle battles, especially when I can get the run of the Wraith (last weekend no one wanted the Wraith - I guess everyone wanted the flag or bomb). I guess I should expect the idiot douche-bags there, though. At least I didn't have any vehicle team killers.

My game seems to be improving, or I'm playing against more noobs (some of it may be the latter).

LOL. I hit the daily CR cap on HALO Reach yesterday.

The 30,000 CR weekly jackpot, a couple 3,000 CR slot machine payouts, and me not feeling that well so I lazed around in front of the TV all day, probably had something to do with it. That's got to be the first time I hit it.

A nice easy 25,000 cR weekly challenge this week. I bet the HALO hardcore are howling that it's too easy. After all, completing 10 daily challenges for 25,000 is easy as pie. 3 days of work (well 2.5). I would have thought they would have gone for at least 16 if not 20.

Yeah, he spawns in multiple locations on Winter Contingency (after checkpoint Alpha). Follow the video in this link to show you where he spawns.

Yeah I've been busy. I've been concentrating on Campaign and MP, mostly.

I've also finished purchasing all the big ticket items in the armory. Only have things under 300,000 cR to purchase now.

I've heard rumors that a ghost helmet is unlocked at one of the higher ranks. I think it's a helmet that has what looks like a black skull in it.

Am I going to make it to Inheritor. Not before November 15, and likely starting Nov. 15 Halo Reach will sit on the shelf until Christmas and other holidays when I'll have time to play it. So I probably won't make it to Inheritor.

Lol, what some games this morning. In a Dinoblasters game my team is just so winning and we end up winning with me having 26 kills (actually probably 27 or 28 with a suicide oe 2 - I should check). Another game of slayer and my tea is winning 22 to 14 and the other team quits!

Damn, they just introduced a new DLC and 10 new achievements for HALO Reach!!! They couldn't wait till next month or next year? I had a perfect 100% in HALO Reach, now I'm going to have to go back there and get them. They're calling to me!

I'll have to try and hold out till December.

Those are 3 of the 10 that just came out. From what I heard you need both the Defiant map pack and the Anniversary map pack to get those 3.

So they added 7 for the new anniversary maps and another 3 for the old Defiant maps. Not sure why they added those, NOW.

Had a record-setting game today! Went 35-3 in BTB CTF on Hemmorage. Most of those were probably wraith kills. Near the end of the game, I was guarding our flag at the enemy base, and the enemy was just running into me.

I also downloaded the Anniversary map pack - some great and nostalgic fun.

I still remember some of these old maps. Prisoner and Hang 'em High with their multiple levels are fun. Timberland is fun too.

Luckily I got the Heashot Honcho achievement and another achievement, already.
