new g5 with old monitors?

just wondering if a new g5 can support dual crt monitors? adapters needed im sure, but can they do it? or is a second vid card needed?

I'm running two displays offa mine. Lots of folks are. you might need an adaptor or two, but otherwise, it's seamless.

ok cool i know they are pushing those new dvi monis. wasnt sure how easy it was to run dual crt.

My G5 2.5 came with a Radeon 9600 XT which did not come with a VGA connector, just dual DVI.
It came with an adapter that allows DVI-VGA conversion so no worries there.

but you can run dual vga adapters? i thought i remember reading along time ago they were able to run 1 dvi moni and one vga?

Yeah, you can run dual VGA. Apple gives you one adapter, so you'd need to buy the second one.

you got it right. the new g5's come with dual dvi so you'll just need to pick up an additional dvi->vga adaptor to run your second display
