Can I connect my macbook pro to a 52" sony hdtv with a mini dv -> HDMI cable?

Will that work ok? What resolution will display on the tv?

Thanks!

All you need to do is get a $6 DVI->HMDI cable. The MBP will support the TV's max resolution.

The MacBook Pro has a normal DVI port, so you don't need a miniDVI-DVI adapter like some other Macs do.
Pick the cable length you need on http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...me=HDMI+to+DVI. Anything with a 4 or 5 'egg' rating is fine.
