A few gems in here. ;-)

43 weird things said in job interviews - CNN.com
"I'm not wanted in this state."

"How many young women work here?"

"I didn't steal it; I just borrowed it."

"You touch somebody and they call it sexual harassment!"

"I've never heard such a stupid question."

Believe it or not, the above statements weren't overhead in bars or random conversations -- they were said in job interviews.

Have you submitted your two weeks' notice to your current employer?

"What is two weeks' notice? I've never quit a job before, I've always been fired."

When I was working as a web content manager, we had a resume framed and put up on our wall. Under the accomplishments section of the guy's resume, it listed, "Found magic leather on Ultima Online."

A couple weeks ago we interviewed a candidate who mentioned how "hot" her last boss was.

I know, never talk about how hot your previous bosses were. It will make your current boss feel insecure.

I have a feeling that Michael Scott once said all of these things when he interviewed for Dunder Mifflin.

One interview I gave was similar to this. When I asked why they're leaving their current employer they replied, "they complain that I use too many sick days, and the pay is awful".

One time I was doing some interviews, and trying to get a candidate through the system I handed him the form that says you've never been convicted of a felony. All he needed to do was sign it, but he looked at it a minute and said "uh...how do you spell marijuana?"

I used to work with a guy who, when late for his interview, offered the excuse "sorry, I'm late; the girlfriend jumped in the shower." My boss was wondering "did she take the shower before you" or "did she jump in with you?"

Funny thing is, he got the job.

True story - I did have someone admit on their job app that they were fired from their last job for assaulting their boss. Needless to say, I did not hire him.
