Nah, looks like it was me who broke the forum for a few minutes there. I am indeed working on the new design and had to turn off two plugins ... apparently that caused the dead images (even though it shouldn't have). I turned the plugins back on and all should be good now.

Have any of you guys tried to reload the pages with the broken images while this was going on?
I am asking because the plugins mentioned above employ some kind of caching system ... theoretically (<- heavy emphasis!), a reload should have remedied the problem.

yeah, I turned those plugins back on since turning them off apparently breaks the forums. ah well ... *shrug*

I did try refreshing multiple times on different pages and it didn't help.

That's what I feared. Stupid plugin-created caching functions probably create some weird references to the img locations.

Yeah, the problem went away as soon as I reactivated the plugins.
