What do you think is better UT:TO or q3ut2.5????
In my book q3ut is the best, even if it doesn't have lots of weapons, the quake3 engine kills ut's ( please admit it, ut:to fans ). THe smoke grenades are freaking hot too, THe interface is the best I've seen, the maps are candies, ( I'm talking about REAL maps like ut_rommel, ut_abbey ut_revolution ut_laneway2 ut_sliema, etc ) I was once a fan of ut:to but now.. Man q3ut really owns it... I heard of a retail verison? Do you have to pay? Is it mac compatible???

Theres a free mod version for mac. Also, the retail works. Anyways, Tactical Ops is better. First, TO graphics are incredible. Q3 looks like a cartoon. Second, the damage system in Q3 is very primitive. Third, urban terror still has the deathmatch feel. It doesnt feel like a team based game.
BTW, I think quake3 is fun for deathmatch. Heres a screenshot.

Tactical-Ops is much better.
I would even say it is better that *c-strike*, due to the fact that you can play against people on any OS (Linux, Mac, Win).
To me it feels like TO has better game play that CS.
Long Live TO.
P.S. Is their a place were you can download the maps that are in the retail version (hope people don't see this as piracy, but its not really piracy due to the fact their is no Mac version.)

Did you ever play q3ut with maximum gfx config??? It looks 4238742 times better. And q3ut is much more team play : YOu can ber a medic and heal others, you can ber the scout, the flash/smoke dude. The damage system is primitive u say? Well in q3ut2 you can shoot the enemy in like 15 parts of the body and they all have diff. effects. Back lungs liver head neck chest waist foot leg arm hand groin heart...
In q3ut you bleed when you get shot somewhere else than in the kevlar vest. then you have to bandage to stop the bleeding.
And, q3ut2 thinks to the mac persons too....

Post a screenshot. Plus, you really cant compare these games. They are different styles. I dont like the class system.

I don't like either, but I'd say Urban Terror is better. Much better feel, and better compatibility.

Medic shot ( nice screenshot )
Notice the 348957498574 times better than to blood ]
the casa map ( nice map )
You should at least try UT if you havent yet. It's the best mod around.

I run it in OS X, just as long as Quake 3 runs there, UT will too. Launch Quake 3 and click "mods" after installing

Urban terror looks to cartoonish. Kinda like counter-strike does.

Tactical Ops is in essence Counter Strike. I know a lot of people who like playing that game, and the fact that it is now playable on the Macintosh platform, that is good news. However, I do prefer Urban Terror. More variety, more fun, and extremely addictive.

CS and TO are similar but they have different feels to it. I prefer TO over CS because the maps in TO are more realistic. Also the CS voices sound constipated .

To be honest, CS is on my wish-list of games to be ported. Half-life isn't needed, just Counter-Strike.
It's not that we don't have better games, but I wanna kill some PC users at those LAN parties...

I actually prefer Infiltration more than Q3UT and UTTO. But between Q3UT and UTTO, I'd give the slight nod to UTTO. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I prefer games where I can preassign my weapons load. I don't like the buying weapons deal. But on my setup, UTTO performs better. Q3UT requires too much tweaking to get the performance I like. I like the character models and skins in UTTO.
The one stickler for Q3UT is that I laugh whenever I see other people in the game running. They look like they have sticks shoved up their rear ends. Sure, good posture is okay in real life, but it doesn't necessarily make the best looking character animations

The q3ut team does not make any profit...
The UTTO team does.
Infiltration is okay but it sucks for me cause:
1. NO MULTIPLAYER GAME SERVERS!!!!
2. BUGS BUGS + BUGS = BUGS
3. Not addictive!!
4. Frustrating sometimes..
5. GFX are slooooooow
But the realism is good And I'd really like to see it ported on the Unreal II engine. It'd be cooooool!!

I haven't tried Urban Terror, but I have tried TO on my mac. It's awful---and it can't hold a candle to CS. It's pretty weak all around.

I really love to play TO. I've never tried UT, but I really never enjoyed Q3 either when I tried it. TO's graphics are fairly good, but the biggest problem is there are so many bugs the beta team never bothered to tell anyone about or the team was just too lazy to fix.
Regarding that blood picture, try turing the effect detail up on TO and you'll get really smooth gun smoke and blood, that looks REALLY nice.
