Friend of my wants to use her MSN in her college. But the normal MSN software and Adium is blocked. Is there's any other software I could try?

Get an account with a Jabber server that has an MSN gateway. That's not likely to be blocked and will let you talk to MSN users.

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.

Can't you do MSN-type communication via a web page. You can with AIM.

What does the OP mean by "blocked"? That they are prevented from installing or that the ports MSN uses are blocked? If it is the latter then it isn't going to matter what client they try.
However, two others:
aMSN
Mercury Messenger

Sounds like all non-web ports are blocked, which is pretty common at universities here. Try MSN Web Messenger, which works in any web browser (even if it says it isn't supported)
